Best Brunch Places in Henderson

Being a Realtor has it’s perks in terms of when and where you work. Somedays we are fortunate enough to stay in the 89052 area which includes Anthem, Seven Hills and MacDonald Ranch / Highlands & Green Valley Ranch. If there is a break in the late morning / afternoon before meeting with another set of Clients or Showing Property there are a number of places that serve a late breakfast / lunch menu commonly referred to as “Brunch”.

Honestly, when out and about doing Realtor / Agent duties the time at these places is not what most people would picture when they hear the word Brunch, as we do not indulge in mimosas or other early day cocktails. Rather this is a quick meal that is usually accompanied by coffee or tea that gives us energy to push through the day and often times a break from the heat that is so prevalent in the Las Vegas / Henderson Valley. Now most of these places are not on the Yelp Top 10 list but I find that consistency is a must for any location that I would make a return to visit to. Here are 5 places in the Henderson area that are worth a try when hanging out in the 89052 Zip Code.

1. Tru Bru Organic Coffee & Bakery: This is one of the newest additions to my Favorites and resides in the previous location of the Man Cave Cigar Lounge on Seven Hills Drive and Horizon Ridge. If You are driving on Horizon Ridge and heading West you literally would end up in the parking lot where Tru Bru exists. At first this was just a new place to get delicious Iced Latte’s and Iced Tea on a Hot July Day, but once I discovered how good the Food was it quickly became the new Brunch location with a Breakfast Burrito that is unrivaled in my opinion. The space inside is well laid out with New Furniture and they have done an excellent job spacing the tables out so that You are not uncomfortably close to anyone especially in Covid-Times. The Chicken Salad Plate is also a hit and the Coffee / Espresso is close to perfect. Friendly Staff and just an overall Nice feeling in this Restaurant have kept me coming back. At first it was kind of unknown and I liked that as it was so Chill there, but word got out quickly and now it is rather busy. Not line out the door busy but I have noticed they may eventually need to add more seating. Open 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. Kitchen closes at 3.

2. Born & Raised (BAR) : This is one of my “Go To” places anytime of the day really, but hitting it mid-day is always nice as there is plenty of seating and the Iced Tea is Nice. Born and Raised has one of the best kitchens in the Henderson area and the food is consistently good with a menu that allows the guest to eat healthy or indulge in fare that tastes amazing but not something I would eat before hitting the gym (if ya know what I mean..) The staff is friendly and the wait time is always minimal, especially in the afternoon hours. They serve breakfast 24 hours a day and the menu has some very unique items such as Fruity Pebbles coated French Toast and Breakfast Sliders. They actually have a whole section of the menu dedicated to Sliders and do weekly specials with Slider options that are always a Fun & Tasty. The Hangover Burrito is amazing and includes “Tetris Tots” in the shape of Tetris game pieces. BAR also does Happy Hour and is arguably one of the best places to watch the VGK games or hit Late Night for Food and Drinks. An all around great place to hang out and eat, I recommend this to all who Love Food. Located on St. Rose and Eastern SE corner right behind TacoMan which has some of the best Tacos in 89052 check em out.

    

3. Scrambled: This is one of the newer spots to arrive in the Henderson area and at first was kinda “under the radar” but once people caught wind of how good the food is it quickly became a hot spot. Located on St. Rose and Coronado Center it resides along with MotherShip Coffee Roasters and BurgerFi. This is one of those Restaurants only serving Breakfast and Lunch with hours from 7 a.m. till 3 p.m. They serve delicious, fresh squeezed Orange Juice from an in-house juicing machine, they also brew Illy brand coffee / espresso that does not disappoint. An imaginative selection of Eggs Benedict options, Omelets and Breakfast Bowls along with delicious French Toast & Pancakes are worth at try. For me though the Breakfast Tacos are always a winner. Usually pressed for time I sit at the counter that is situated in the heart of the restaurant and by the time I have had a few sips of coffee my order is in front of me. With a location that can be accessed by Tourists as well as locals Scrambled is pretty crazy on the weekends but you can grab a table easily during the weekdays. A wide selection of Champagnes and Cocktails serve the Brunch crowd and there is ample seating both indoors and on the outdoor patio as well.

    

4. Buckman’s Grill: Located inside the Revere Clubhouse on Hampton Road this is probably an unknown for many people who do not reside in the Anthem / Seven Hills section of town. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and serving breakfast till 11 a.m. each day the Dining Room has an incredible view of the Las Vegas Skyline with the Revere Golf course just below the window. The Restaurant sits elevated on a bluff with a view orientation to the North that provides one of the best City Views in Henderson. Classic Country Club fare that includes all the classic sandwiches & salads along with Revere Signature menu options like Meatloaf and Beef Stroganoff. The restaurant shares the space inside with a Bar that is typically full of Golfers fresh off the course socializing and sharing a beer or two. Often forgotten but never disappointing Buckman’s is always a nice mid day meal and the view is second to none.

    

5. Craft Kitchen: Located on Eastern Ave and Sunridge Heights Craft Kitchen serves up some of the best coffee (we like coffee !) and the pastries, muffins, cookies and all other baked goods are love at first bite. Quickly becoming a trendy place to go for Breakfast amongst the 89052 crowd Craft Kitchen has an eclectic menu that serves up elevated versions of many classic recipes along with menu selections that are unique to this restaurant alone. A generous selection of wines and champagnes for the Bruch crowd and a Vegan section of the menu for those that are animal advocates give Craft Kitchen a hip vibe that has been a hit with so many neighbors from California & neighboring states moving into the 89052 Zip Code over the last 3 years or so. Serving everything from Avocado Toast to Chicken & Waffles the menu here has something for all palates and many of the Southwest options are tasty as well. If you plan on trying to grab a seat on the weekends I recommend calling 1st as there is always a wait. With hours from 8 a.m. till 3 p.m. I find that hitting it around 1:30- 2 o’clock is the best move as it has settled down enough where finding a table and getting in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time is do-able. With so many Great Places in the area that have popped up recently to accommodate all the new residents to Henderson area I would like to give notable mention to Bad Owl Coffee, The Stove, The Kitchen Table and the Mixed Grill inside Anthem Country Club. All of these places serve great mid day food along with coffee / tea options that are delicious.
